Government Web Designers and Developers Group (GWDDG)

The Australian Museum web team is keen to establish a Government Web Designers and Developers Group (GWDDG) in the near future. The purpose of the group would be to gather together any interested web designers and developers from within Government institutions, with the aim of:

meet others web designers and web developers
talk about issues affecting web designers/developers
share and learn new information from each other
discuss specific topics such as (XHTML, CSS, validation, web standards, syndication, preferred software, and lots more)
invite experts in the web field to do presentations to the group

Please note: we have since set up the Web Standards Group, which has an active mail list and regular meetings. If you are a web developer within the Sydney region, and are insterested in webstandards, CSS, XHTML, please feel free to join.
